On December 3, 2019, the Los Angeles City Council ratified the appointments of nine new members that will serve on the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board (WDB).
Appointed directly by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the new members will join the 39 member body which oversees the City's public workforce system of WorkSource Centers, YouthSource Centers, HIRE LA's Youth and other training and employment initiatives.
The WDB is comprised of civic leaders from Los Angeles' private sector, education, labor, government, and nonprofit sectors.
