Gregg Irish, Executive Director of the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board (WDB), received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the California Workforce Association (CWA) WORKCON 2018 conference on May 3, 2018.
WORKCON, sponsored by the CWA, is a unique gathering of Workforce Development Board members and workforce professionals, educators, and other key partners helping to provide a trained, skilled workforce to our diverse regional economies. The Conference highlights the most powerful and innovative collaborations and partnerships that provide the keys to unlocking prosperity for both workers and communities.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to leaders with lifelong careers in workforce development that have been influential in effecting change in the workforce development world. Gregg was appointed to the Workforce Development Board in 2007 by former City of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Mr. Irish's award was also recognized at the Workforce Development Board's May 9, 2018 Executive Committee meeting.
