Rapidly Changing Skills Requirements Prompt Industry-College Initiative
Los Angeles County's 19 Community colleges, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC), the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the Southern California Leadership Council, and the Center of Excellence for Labor Market Research at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, have launched the Center for a Competitive Workforce. The Center, which is housed at the LAEDC, is dedicated to training students for today’s highly skilled and technical jobs.
