City of Los Angeles, WDB Annual Plan 17
On June 1, 2016, the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board's Executive Committee approved the final release of the City of Los Angeles Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) 2016-2017 Annual Plan. The Annual Plan now awaits review and final approval by the Los Angeles City Council and Mayor Garcetti.

The Annual Plan covers the service strategies, activities and budget for the City’s Workforce Development System. It outlines how the City will deliver services and meet the objectives of promoting a trained workforce with access to good jobs and a strong business/employer regional economy.

The WIOA supports the City's workforce development activities that are provided through its Workforce Development System, comprised of 17 WorkSource/America's Job Centers of California, two satellite sites, 16 YouthSource Centers, and the high-profile HIRE LA's Youth Initiative. This effort is impactful, over the past five years the WorkSource and YouthSource Centers have served over 755,000 Angelenos.
