The City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board and the City's Economic and Workforce Development Department, together with the network of WorkSource Centers/America's Job Centers of California and the YouthSource Centers, are prepared for the July 1, 2015 transition to the new federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) .
Various trainings have been held to share the new (draft) regulations and to review the compliance matters regarding the WIOA. Throughout the 2015-16 Program Year, the WIB and EWDD will conduct additional discussions and trainings to ensure the City's Workforce Development System is in compliance and maximizing the full utility of the new funding.
