Joseph Stark is the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Unified School District Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE). The DACE provides learning opportunities and employment training to adults, and to in and out-of-school teens through ten schools and career training centers throughout the Los Angeles area. Annually, DACE serves approximately 89,000 students through a $155 million budget.
Prior to his appointment in 2016, Mr. Stark served as DACE's Division Administrator, joining LAUSD in 2014. From 2008-2014, he was the Director of Adult Education for the Burbank Unified School District. Mr. Stark received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in School Administration from Loyola Marymount University and his Adult Education Teaching Credential from the University of California, Los Angeles.
