Dr. Adriene “Alex” Davis is a premier academic and economic & workforce development practitioner who currently serves as the acting vice chancellor of the Educational Services Division at Rancho Santiago Community College District. Dr. Davis provides leadership and administrative oversight across four community college districts and 10 community college institutions.
Dr. Davis was the first and only executive director to oversee the Los Angeles and Orange County Regional Consortium (LAOCRC), which was comprised of 29 community college institutions across 15 community college districts from May 2018 through December 2021. Prior to overseeing the regional consortium, Dr. Davis served as an instructional dean at Los Angeles City College for ten years and provided leadership and administrative oversight for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Adult Education, Career Technical Education, academic instructional programs, some categorical programs, and grant development resources.
Before transitioning to Los Angeles City College, Dr. Davis served as the Director of the Small Business Development Center at El Camino College and before that, she worked in the Small Business Development Center regional office at Long Beach City College, which covered Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties.
