Jesse Cuevas was appointed to Chief for the Los Angeles/Coastal Workforce Services Division for the Employment Development Department (EDD).
The LACWSD has administrative oversight of 12 distinct local workforce development areas within LA County/City and the Coastal Cities, including Oxnard, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey and Santa Cruz.
Jesse’s career started with EDD in 1997 as a Student Assistant in the Youth Employment Opportunity Program. Jesse has worked in various classifications both with Workforce Services and Unemployment Insurance, and the EDD Directorate, also serving as a cluster manager in the LA Metro area.
Prior to joining EDD, Jesse worked for the California Veterans Administration – Veterans Home of Chula Vista in San Diego.
