On December 8, 2023, in partnership with Council District 15, students of the YO! Watts YouthSource Center (YSC) volunteered in the Watts community to make the annual Winter Wonderland event a success. Councilmember Tim McOsker’s Office asked the YSC’s Youth Council to participate and help serve the Watts community as Community Ambassadors.

- Helped children ride sleds down the snow mounds brought to Watts for this event (yes, there was snow in Southeast Los Angeles!)
- Supervised youth playing in the bouncers to ensure their safety
- Assisted youth with painting their Christmas hats with decorations and colors
- Helped organize and give out toys to youth at Ted Watkins Park
- Engaged community members to inform them about all of the great services of the YO! Watts YouthSource Center has to offer
